for Damaging Surf

for Lord Howe Island

DAMAGING SURF CONDITIONS DEVELOPING DURING MONDAY.

Weather Situation
A deepening low pressure system near New Zealand will direct increasing southerly swell towards Lord Howe Island during Monday.
Damaging surf conditions, with waves exceeding 5 metres in the surf zone, may produce significant beach erosion, particularly about south facing beaches.
These conditions are expected to ease by later this evening.

- Stay out of the water and stay well away from surf-exposed areas.
- Check your property regularly for erosion or inundation by sea water, and if necessary raise goods and electrical items
