Severe Thunderstorm Warning
for Heavy Rainfall

for parts of West Coast, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, North West Pastoral and Flinders districts.

Issued at 8:09 pm Friday, 15 May 2026.

Severe thunderstorms continuing this evening in the eastern parts of the North West Pastoral and northern parts of the Eyre Peninsula.

Weather Situation
A cloud band with embedded thunderstorms is moving through central parts of the state, producing heavier rainfalls in the first part of the evening, and easing into the night.
HEAVY RAINFALL for the following areas:
West Coast, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Flinders and North West Pastoral
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Roxby Downs, Wudinna, Woomera and Kimba.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.

The next warning is due to be issued by 11:10 pm.
